Piglatin Cocina

We were looking for a quick late lunch / early dinner and decided to try Piglatin Cocina. I am very glad we did! We started with their signature Margarita. It was a little small but also not filled to the brim with ice. It was the right mix of sweet and tart with a salty rim. For our meal I had the OG Stacked Arepa (gluten free). It was packed with flavor! The crispy arepa with a soft interior, topped with sweet pork and stringy mozzarella cheese, barely noticeable spinach (although my immune system thanked me for eating it) and spicy sriracha made for a perfectly delectable bite. If you are not a fan of spicy food, I would recommend asking for the sriracha lite or on the side. I wanted to try one of the tacos and chose the Guava Lava Chicken (gluten free). Bomb food! Although hopefully they’ll work more on cleanliness - restroom and the tables. It’s sticky and felt like wasn’t cleaned that much to remove debris of food prior. Would’ve loved to try their churros so we have the complete meal but they said they were packed and got sold out. While the drinks were good —towards the end— it wasn’t mixed (?) well before handling it to us so it tasted too lemony (mojito) at first. Still good food but a little pricey ????

Pretty cool taco shop type place with a variety of street tacos and other foods on a straight forward menu. Expect to hear late '90s - early 2000s hip-hop while you eat. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but some might not. The food was flavourful and served fast. It's a relatively small indoor area, and there is some seating outside, but it might fill up fast on a busy night. We enjoyed our meal.
