Pier7 Juicy Seafood & Bar

I love this place. But today's experience was so disappointing. The food was bland no seasoning, the fried oysters tasted so bad. The waitress Jo was out of this world. The music was so distracting it felt like we were at a club or something like that. Bartender was wearing house shoes. So dangerous. I know we came in at a slow time after the lunch rush but a lot of the staff were more interested in talking to each other, just sitting or dancing to the music than taking care of things. I had been so excited to go there for my birthday. Today I'm hoping it was just an off day for them. Every other time I have been there it's been wonderful.

What mom wants, mom gets. My mother suggested Pier 7 for lunch. There were good vibes from the time we were greeted and seated to our departure. Pier 7 offers a bar, happy hour, lunch specials M-F 12p-3p, and more. We were impressed by the location, the exceptional service provided by Amya, the food quality and great prices. Both the fried shrimp and catfish baskets exceeded our expectations on portion sizes. This was a very enjoyable Wednesday afternoon lunch with my mom. While my mom’s request for her catfish to be cooked a lil crispy wasn’t met, her meal was still pleasing. Located on the I35 N service road makes access very easy. This place was great! I am not much of a seafood person but the shrimp here was amazing. We had a pound of the heads off shrimp. They have several sauces to choose from: Cajun, old bay, lemon pepper, garlic butter. From there you can choose spice level. The kids menu was small but perfect for our picky kids. The mozzarella sticks were good as well. Th Our service was very good. Our server, Chris, was amazing and was very quick, friendly, and informative about what was very good. He suggested the Texas tea but warned it was strong, I had assumed taste, but the liquor creeps up on you.
