Terrible server. I’ve grown up eating Chinese food and ordered a Fish Fillet Claypot. This is usually slow cooked in an actual Claypot and served with a thick sauce. My order came out in 5 minutes before a house wonton soup. It was served in a bowl like a Korean soon tofu hot pot. The sauce was not thick and it appeared to be cooked in a pot and just dumped into a bowl. I told server that is not a fish fillet Claypot but she argued it was and insisted there are different recipes. That’s true they served me a soon tofu fish fillet hot pot and insisted they were correct. I’ll never go there again. When they gave me the check, the item was itemized as a fish fillet hot pot. I showed them the receipt and said that is not a Claypot that I ordered and the server told me I shouldn’t argue with her. Well if they serve me the wrong dish I will. There Sweet +Sour Pork is like a microwaved HEB TV Dinner as it is the same for their egg rolls. I have asked them repeatedly to make both these items crispy and they can not do it. Their pricing is cheap but you get the same quality. They are nice but I think the quality of there meals is not up to the front counter that takes your order.
We have been going to Pao’s Mandarin House since 2008- mainly for lunch; occasionally take -outs; rarely for dinner. The quality of food has been consistently excellent. Very reasonably priced dishes. Lunch menu includes soup and egg roll. Today we had Kung Pao chicken and Kung Pao beef; both with fried rice and hot and sour soup. Both were delicious.
