On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Oklahoma City

Food was good, but service was pretty bad. We had a table of 8 and only two of us had our drinks refilled once the whole time we were there. And we had to track them down for anything. we had to ask to refill the chips multiple times before they were brought out to the table. Then they automatically put in 18 percent gratuity and it doesn’t show that when they give you the ticket to sign. We almost tipped double because of this.

My husband and I have come here twice now in the past month. The first time we stood at the host stand for over 15 minutes before anybody even acknowledged us. Another customer actually got the attention of a server for us because she had been waiting an hour for her to go order and was appalled at how long we had been standing there as well. We got mediocre service from three different people and weren’t ever clear on who our server was. No drink refills and no napkins after asking twice. It took 20 minutes to bring us our check after we asked for it. Not a great experience but oh well, things happen. I was a server for 14 years and we all have off days. So we try the place again today and we stood at the host stand for another 15 minutes with no service. We finally sat at the bar where our bartended walks back and forth cleaning things and talking to her other two customers, never once acknowledged us or said hello. I got the NEW Honey Chipotle Chicken Fajitas. It would've been nice if it was exactly what it was suppose to be but I guess they said they didn't have all the ingredients to make it so they slapped some BBQ sauce on the chicken fajitas and packed it up.
