On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Barry Rd

It was some of the worst Mexican food I've had. The place was empty but took forever to get food and drinks. The rice was hard the beans were dried out and the tostada was soggy. The burrito has way too much extra tortilla folded up on it it was like basically eating a bunch of dough. My kid wouldn't eat her food she said it was yucky. It gave me the impression I was eating buffet food that had been cooked in the morning and was sitting on a warmer all day, hence the hard rice and dried out beans. I will not be going back. Oh and they only have one vegetarian option on the menu. Your better off looking for something more authentic.

When I went, I wondered why the Chili's next door had far more business than On The Border. I found out. The service was excellent and friendly. The restaurant was super cold. The food came out at close to room temperature. You know it's not hot when the cheese doesn't melt. The only reason I have now to go there is because of the staff and the excellent service. The food is bland and leaves a lot to be desired. At least there is a Chili's next door.

Ordered to go and one of my orders was wrong. I also had to wait because my food wasn't ready. This was fine and I didn't have to wait to long, however all the food was cold. So I am not sure what I was waiting for. The bread on the sandwiches was stale and chewy as well. I have had some issues in the past as well with incompleteorders, so I give up on this place. Not returning again.
