From the start I will say that given the name and prices, I was expecting at least somewhat authentic Italian food. Seeing as we lived for 20 years in Italy, we have a pretty good idea of what that is. So, do take this review with the understanding that we were looking, hoping for real Italian food and vastly disappointed to get mediocre American-Italian food. First of all, the restaurant has no handicapped parking - while it was not a problem at the time we went, it is definitely worth noting. The atmosphere was more sort of sports bar/restaurant than much of an Italian one. Not a problem, unless you are looking for that. The menu was limited. That has become more common post covid. The prices also struck me as high - we got just about the least expensive pasta dishes on the menu and they were $17 and $18 - and that was without a salad or side. I got the carbonara. It was, disappointing. The pasta was fresh pasta and was ok. But the dish as a whole was bland, lacking salt and
This was my first time here and the food is not only beautiful but it's delicious!! I had a Capris salad and calamari, and I also had a delicious scoop of salted caramel gelato to go. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The calamari was made just right, yummy ???? It's a quaint restaurant with friendly service, I enjoyed my time here.
I have to say it started out great the service was good the apps were good the wine was really good the bread basket A+ they were on a roll then came the dinner I’m not saying it was bad it was ok to say the least. The New England clam chowder was lukewarm Campbells is better sorry the portobello mushroom and shrimp in the pink vodka sauce could’ve been better the bolognese dish was better but wasn’t nothing to write home about. It was like the beginning of a really good movie but the ending left me unimpressed. Yes I would visit this establishment again it’s one of the better Italian eateries around.
