New Shanghai Restaurant

After reading the reviews, I’m not sure if I just had a one-off experience. I ordered two chicken entrees, one was mostly vegetables with hardly any chicken, and the other chicken which was breaded, was very hard and crunchy. The flavor for everything was good, but probably wouldn’t order again, based off this experience.

For almost $20 for each chicken dish I’m disappointed with the portion size. Ive dined in the actual restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how much food you are given. That is what I was expecting tonight. I spent way too much money for these portions. Maybe I ordered wrong? The chicken dish on the bottom right hand side is smaller than the other for $18.99??!!! Don’t know if I will be ordering from here again.

recommended to us by the people at Power Cleaners (which we also like), just next door. very good food, reasonable prices, friendly and courteous service. my only negative is that they use Square for payment, which I don't like. But, we'll be back. Brittany Mauer-I don't disagree completely with your comment, but this place is better than others we've tried in the area. We ate there again recently and ordered a scallop dish. The scallops were apparently added in at the last minute into a pre-prepared sauce. There was little mixing of flavors, quite disappointing. But as I say the other places we've tried in the Lake Forest area are worse.
