Passing through after visiting the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and stopped here for lunch. So glad we did! The service was amazing, we were greeted as we walked in and treated like family. Good family that is! We each had the Smoked Ribeye, very tasty! Fresh cut French fries, coleslaw and banana pudding for desert. We also had a sample of their ribs. Our meal was very good, the price was about average for a good meal. Definitely good to eat at Mission BBQ again!
Set up a take out order for 11 am right as they open, expecting fresh smoked meat. Seems they either served us left overs from the previous night or overcooked everything. Brisket, both lean and fatty, was super dry as was the turkey. Sausage was good but a super underwhelming meal for $40+ for 2 people. Was excited to have a BBQ place by us now that we moved to Gurnee but that was very disappointing.
