Food was very good, service was excellent, atmosphere was pleasant, and so much food I was still full the next morning. I got the plate titled Deluxe 57, which I couldn't even finish while splitting it, and not only was it very good, it was a beautifully laid out plate.
Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Food not flavorful- bland. Queso tastes like cream of something soup…. Tiny bowls of salsa. Fish tacos were off- soggy wet fish, raw veggies and raw corn tortillas. Strange. Rice was good, charro beans were good also. The hottest sauce they have is just blended chilis- maybe it’s a tex mex thing. Just thought the whole meal was off and for lunch (for 2) the hefty price tag of 62.00 (with tip) was a little steep.
Mi Cocina is hands down one of my favorite places to eat at because of the taste and especially, consistency. This location and the Lake Highlands one never disappoint. I highly recommend the sunset enchiladas or chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. SO good. Service is always delightful and the food delicious.
