Mercury Chophouse

The ambiance was pleasant, the food was superb, and the service was exemplary. This is the first time we came here and we will make sure to come back again! I do think that they could improve their wine list a little bit but that could be because of shortages in selection. But, in addition to a knockout old fashioned, everything we ate there was fantastic! The picture is of our dessert, the apple cobbler. We were so stuffed that my wife and I shared the cobbler but still took home a nice slice of cheesecake to enjoy later. Our son had the cheesecake which is why we ate decided to take one home.

We had a party of 8. The evening started off fine and then things started going down hill. Glasses were not filled. Drinks from the bar took way to long to arrive or the waiter forgot them. Food orders were not delivered. The food was ok, but not worthy of the prices on the menu. We asked the waiter to divide the check by the four couples. After 30 minutes, we asked about the checks and were told that the waiter was having trouble and they asked what everyone ate and drank again. After 45 minutes, we asked the manager to get involved with the delivery of the checks. When they finally arrived, we were charged for items not delivered or charged for drinks and food ordered by others in our party. As we watched other tables arrive, eat and then leave before us, we could not understand why an upscale restaurant could not deliver our checks after 45 minutes. To top it off, we were automatically charged 20% tip on each check. After arguing with the manager, he finally agreed to take it off. W

We are visiting from out of state and can not being to tell you the wonderful experience we had. From the ambience and the wonderful service from Veronica and Shana, worth more than five stars. Food was excellent and great craft cocktails. Definitely would like to revisit when we come back.
