MacKenzie's Chop House

We made a reservation for a birthday meal here on the patio for a Sunday evening, we arrived at the time and waited maybe 10 minutes for our table. The patio was beautiful and comfortable with privacy from the street. The service was impeccable and so helpful. Everything was fresh and delicious and made exactly as ordered, steaks were cooked perfectly and each dessert was delicious! Our bill was around $200 for 3 people and we had leftovers to take home. Was wished a happy birthday and they comped one of the desserts as a gift. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone and I cannot wait to come back!

Nice steakhouse if you're in the area or willing to make a reservation. Gave me some serious "basement with rich mahogany" vibes; lights are dim, the restaurant is downstairs, etc. We had no issues getting a reservation for the next day with a decent sized group. We started with the duck confit bruschetta, which was delicious! The veggies added more texture to the wonton chips. The bleu wedge was also enjoyed and IMO, you can't really go wrong with a wedge salad. For entrees, we ordered the cioppino, which was jam packed with seafood of all sorts. It was worked on until there was nothing left. The chicken piccata was tasty and had a good amount of flavor. The 12 oz NY strip was cooked a little more on the rare side than expected (medium rare is what we ordered), but it worked out because I ate the more cooked parts, while my husband who prefers rare steak enjoyed those parts. I'm very happy we decided to come here for dinner! I do recommend reserving a time online because I can see them getting pretty busy, but we got lucky and were able to get seated very quickly in the bar area. It's a historic building so be prepared for it to be a little warm sitting inside. They do have a patio as well. The service was phenomenal, Dylan took great care of us and was very attentive and super friendly! Food was also very well prepared and delicious! I highly recommend the oysters to start off with and if you love seafood, the Diver Scallops were amazing! Overall very happy with our first time here and we will definitely come back!
