Los Tres Mexican Restaurant Apex

Marvelous service, generous portions, phenomenal food! Los Tres Apex is one of 3 restaurants in a local chain. This location was a bustling and vivacious establishment filled with pleasant chatter and very friendly. We were greeted by almost every staff member that we passed, regardless of if they were actually assisting us or not. The host was quick to get you seated and gracious to ask location and table preferences. The waitress was also quick to come to offer service and very attentive to our needs throughout the meal; refilling drinks, refilling chips, asking about other needs, etc. The food was a generously proportioned, well prepared, and delicious. The standard chips and dip were presented, fresh fried with a good salsa. It complemented, excellently, the Chori Dip (a chorizo sausage and cheese dip served hot in a small skillet). Well I’ve eaten many times….. always seemed to be good….. wasn’t happy tonight…. Had to sit 15 minutes and wait just to pay my bill ….. while my waitress walked past several times….. maybe she might get tipped by the guys she was fawning all over…. But she won’t with me….. completely disappointed…… there are many restaurants fighting for business…… yinz just lost mine…..

I ordered a seafood plate called Mar y Piedra. The picture and description sounded and looked good, but what a suprise! I was disappointed. I paid $ 20.00 for ketchup sauce rice and some pieces of shrimp, fish, tiny scallops, and only one piece of octopus . For a Mexican restaurant they should have higher standards in their food and beverages, and also the staff should be more pleasant and helpful.
