Legal Sea Foods has a great location right on the wharf. Stopped in to take advantage of oyster happy hour from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. theur select oysters are $2 a piece and a good value. We did feel that we had better oysters throughout our trip in Boston. Kids burger was very plain with cheese. Luckily their fries were very crispy and kid satisfying. Lobster bisque was very creamy, more of a chowder... be sure to ask for the garlic rolls to help scoop up the bisque. What they lacked in food was made up by our server. Staff was very quick and accommodating. Beers and wine are refreshing and would try other Legal Sea Food menu items next visit. Joke to the kids, this was the freshest seafood selected from the Boston aquarium... enjoy!
It was my first time having lunch here, and it was busy, but I decided to make a reservation because I was going with a big group on a Sunday. The service was OK, but it took too long to bring all the dishes. I had a classic lobster mac and cheese, which I enjoyed but was too big to finish. Oysters were good; everyone enjoyed them. I won't pick this place for family lunches, but once upon a time, I would have lunch here.
Great food here. We didn't have a wait even though the restaurant was busy. I got the Sea Scallops with rice pilaf and buttered potatoes, my husband got the Baked haddock. Mine tasted delicious with the waitress's recommendation of lemon butter with the scallops, my husband said his was good but lacking flavor. appetizer. We had the Cod fritters as our appitizer which were also delicious.
