KOJO

We heard about this new restaurant via word of mouth from our friends. We did not have reservations but we’re able to sit at a high top in the bar. All I can say is WOW! The atmosphere, employees and the food were incredible. The only complaint I would say is that the hostess could have been a little more helpful. When we told her we didn’t have reservations, she just pointed to the bar and we had to find an open table. I feel like she could of AT LEAST walked us to the table or showed us where it was. Our server was Madison and she was stellar! She gave great recommendations on what is popular and what she personally liked. We ended up ordering tapas style and shared a few dishes. The drinks were some of the best we have had downtown and the seafood was fresh and tasted wonderful. We had 2 different versions of the Bao and they were some of the best I have ever had. Wow wow wow, first let me apologize to Kojo, it took me a month to write this review, but better late than never. This has to be the best Asian Fusion experience I have ever had. In fact this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The service was STELLAR, I don't remember his name...maybe Big Ben but I may have that totally wrong, and I'm sorry if I do, but you deserve to have your salary doubled. You took amazing care of me and my son and provided us with the best recommendations. With that said, I doubt there is one bad dish in the menu. If you are anywhere near Sarasota do not hesitate, make a reservation and head to KOJO. The atmosphere was also amazing, the decor, the various seating areas, the artwork, all added to an absolutely delightful experience. This place was really good! Cool, chill vibe. Drinks were great and food was exceptional. Highly recommend you go check it out. Make sure to make a reservation because it does get busy.
