My dad and I eat breakfast here every weekend. We love the breakfast food they serve. Always comes fast. Proud to support a local small black business in the neighborhood. I have not yet eaten any of the non-breakfast food, the reason I give 4 out of 5 stars.
Service was great, dining area was clean, and food was pretty good. Fried chicken and meat loaf was good. The pork chops were slightly overdone. Great atmosphere all around. Love listening to some old school R&B jams. Worth stopping by if you’re passing through.
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before. Fried chicken is my favorite food and I’ve been on a quest to find the best fried chicken in KC. I think I found it. Crispy juicy but not greasy with a great seasoning in it. They had kind of cornbread that is cooked like a pancake and served with honey that was amazing. And the service was super friendly. I’ll be back.
