King's Fish House

We visited King's Fish on a weekday evening. It was less crowded than usual. We ordered Hamachi Capaccio, French Fries, Grilled Octopus, and Grilled Ono Sandwiches. The Hamachi Capaccio was fresh and flavorful, with a nice kick from the jalapeños. However, the octopus was a bit salty, and the ono was a little dry. We were not impressed this time, but our previous experience at this restaurant had been great. We think the quality of the food may not be consistent, but we'll give it another try and order the lobster roll next time.

AUG 2022-The group of four wanted bloody Mary’s and oysters. We were pointed toward Kings Fish House and boy am I excited we were. OT reservation was on point and our server was “Ol Skool” that what he said his name was so…. His service was attentive and personable. The oyster variety tray was a great selection we could all find something we liked. Sea urchin, I’m told, tasted fresh and was complimented by a dip in a soy sauce mix. Maryland crabs, grilled prawns and sides tasted delicious. Drinks including mixed cocktails and wine were refreshing, complimentary to the menu and tasty. I saw chicken and a burger on the menu but one comes here for the seafood. Kings is on the outer skirt of Valley Fair adjacent to Steven Creek. I recommend valet which is right out front. Parking at VF sucks but first two hours complimentary

I made reservations for lunch @ Kings to celebrate my wife's birthday during the week. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their choices, and the table service was great too. But several issues came up which ruined my wife's birthday celebration. My wife didn't like where we were being seated so she asked to be seated near the entrance but they said it would be a few minutes longer so we returned to the original seats towards the rear of the al fresco area. Then the hostess came back within minutes of us sitting down. She apologized and showed us a different area. During our meal, we were looking for our waiter but he was busy. So in the meantime we were trying to get any wait staff attention but they all ignored us. Lastly, my wife mistakenly left her lanyard at the table but they don't have a lost in found container. They could not find it.
