My Husband Scott called to see if they had reservations as we don’t live in the area and we’re riding a motorcycle. He spoke to Sunny and right from the start she was great. We arrived and spoke with her who had a table for us inside and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were seated and our wonderful server John was amazing in so many ways. We live in NY and enjoy eating out. We can honestly say this food was one of the best places we have ever ate at. The filet, crab cakes, scalloped potatoes and Brussel sprouts were amazing. Can’t wait to come out and will definitely be visiting them again. To top off the night with their cheesecake and fresh coffee!! Thank you to John, Sunny, and Taylor for going above and beyond to make our last night in town and dinner so memorable. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Highly recommend stopping there. Beautiful setting!!
Mac and cheese was okay, could’ve used some parmigiana to top off. Brussels sprouts were undercooked, and the medium rare steak ???? came out medium. But the wine ???? was good at happy hour. Brisket burger ???? came out cold, but otherwise good okay.
I would say it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the Carefree/Cave Creek area. It’s a really consistent, casual, American Contemporary cuisine with tons of indoor, outdoor, and even rooftop seating (a really nice option in the Spring or late Fall). Tonight we chose to sit outdoors and being December 26th it was very cold outside but the heaters felt nice and made it quite warm. Our server was very polite and attentive and management checked in on us mid meal as well. Parking is plentiful and they also have a large bar right behind the hostess stand. I started the meal with the French Onion Soup and it was actually really tasty. Prepared classic style with a deep brown broth (my preference instead of the white colored style) and plenty of Gruyère melted on top. For my entree I chose the 12oz Filet Mignon which had a nice char to it as well as a nice taste. I would definitely order it again I finished every bite.
