English Rose Tea Room

I just love love love coming here - I consider myself a regular as I go here so much! Over the last 5 years since I found this gem, I’ve seen a recent remodel of decor, which is beautiful, I still miss the old style for nostalgia. The fun part here is there is so much to see! Since Covid restrictions, the dressing up hat box is no longer, but that doesn’t stop table guests from arriving in their hats or fascinators - great fun for all. The food - well it is an English Tearoom, so if course they offer a great range of English teas - the Lavender Earl Grey is my favourite and the light plates of food is just right- super salads, yummy quiches and of course, the “piece de la resistance” - the scones with clotted cream! I defy anyone to come here and not enjoy it - it has charm, atmosphere and fun with a little gift area to take home a small trinket to remind you of your visit - plus there is a cardboard cut out of The Queen, ready by a Wall of Roses for you to take your selfies or sta

This was a wonderful experience! The room is a bit small, but it makes for more of an intimate or cozy feel. The authenticity of the tea room is spot on. The tea, food, and environment are all worth a visit and to be savored. We went for a special occasion and this made the occasion even more special. I will be back if not for the tea, but for the tea and the retail shopping offered here.

I saw this place on TV (travel channel blurb) and asked my dad where this was only to find out it was in AZ EXACTLY WHERE I HAPPENED TO BE VISITING! It was a bit of a drive from Chandler/Gilbert but well worth it. I made my appointment the day before and was grateful to get in fairly easily because I was by myself and it was middle of the week (Tuesday). I arrived on time but had to wait as the owner was busy booking a large party with quoted prices for a later date but was warmly greeted when she had finished. She sat me underneath the beautiful rose tree inside and I had the best view of the inside and out. My server was lovely, informing me of the specials and after a few questions I decided on the leek soup/scone combo with a small pot of tea for under 25 dollars. It was the perfect amount as I had no one to shared the tiered trays of sandwiches and desserts with. I loved my scone with jam and Devon cream or creme. The soup was delicious as well.
