Joey B's on the Hill

I’ve been here twice and each time I was seated as soon as I walked in, the food came out fast and hot and the portions are HUGE! Even on a busy Saturday night the service was great and the staff were so friendly. The fiesta fettuccine is my new go-to favorite!

Came here after a recommendation from our hotel front desk staff. It was a Friday night, so it was packed. While waiting for a table, we had an appetizer, and a drink at the bar. The bartender was the sweetest young lady. She was quick, efficient, and incredibly welcoming. Once seated, we had a friendly, immensely kind server. I apologize for not remembering his name. The food (we had three different pasta dishes, and one Hawaiian chicken sandwich at our table) - was downright dreamy. Seriously cannot wait to visit St Louis again, for my portobello ravioli. Spectacular food!! We did wait almost an hour for our food. I gave four stars for this reason. Also, we waited a long time (20+ minutes) for our check, and to-go boxes. I figured, much like every other restaurant, they had to be backed up in the kitchen, and understaffed. Yet, I know I'll dream of my meal, now that I'm back home (12 hours north, of beautiful St Louis).

There was a wait to get seated but they texted me when a table was ready so it wasn't a big deal. Our waiter was fun. Mostly I loved Joey B's because I had the best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had. And the portion size was so huge it lasted me SEVEN meals! My only improvement suggestion is I suggest they serve the gooey butter cake at room temp vs cold. They also had nice patio seating which is a plus.
