Jason's Deli

Terrible service. I placed an order through Jason Deli's app and showed up when the app said my order would be ready. I walk in and the order pickup area was incredibly crowded and chaotic. I went to the counter to grab my order and the guy helping me said it would be just a few minutes. I waited half an hour and finally went back up to the counter to check the status of my chicken club sandwich (the entirety of my order). The girl that helped me this time was scrambling trying to figure out where my order was. Turns out my sandwich had been ready for at least 20 minutes, they just left it sitting in the preparation area rather than putting it in the area where people grab the to-go orders. Whoever manages this store should find a new line of work. The staff all seemed incredibly unorganized and untrained. Love this Jason's Deli... had a tuna muffaletta and it was SO tasty! Also, their ice cream is creamy, unlike many other locations where the ice cream is more icy.

Jason's has been a "go-to" for a couple of decades. Since the pandemic and restart, not so much. Today (11/2/2022) was close to the last straw. My receipt shows I placed my order at 11:46am. At 12:13pm, I still didn't have any food. I had to approach the staging counter to inquire and nobody could communicate in my native tongue. A "manager" had to be called over to communicate. His indifference was challenging at best. No "sorry". no apology. Just "what did you have?" ...nothing else...just a couple of ladles of soup into a bowl after almost 30 minutes. To top it off, the soup was tepid...not even warm. It was stone cold after the 3rd bite. This holding temperature was such an issue to me that I called the Addison TX environmental health office to request an inspection of the restaurant with a focus on food handling and holding temperatures. There are limited deli choices in this area...Jason's is rapidly becoming one to avoid.
