Had a nice dinner here with my mother and father-in-law! Other than not caring for the spaetzle (is it supposed to be cold!?) the food was good. Will definitely come back but I'll order what my husband had, the chickenschnitzel. That was really yummy. They were out of what I originally wanted but it stated on the menu that might happen. Although you would think they would be sure to have the dish labeled as Guy Fieri's favorite that was featured on national television.

Authentic German spot that was featured on Triple D in Glendale. Came here as it was close to the Tanger Outlets for a late lunch, and were seated immediately. Indoor/outdoor seating available. Credit cards accepted. Dog friendly patio. Bathrooms available inside along the hallway. There are vegetarian-friendly options. Free street parking available. The owner was super nice and welcoming. Food-wise, everything was top-notch. The portions were huge and the beer pours were similarly gigantic. They do have other alcohol options including wine and schnapps. The currywurst fries came separate from the ketchup/sausages, so they stayed crispy. The Hungarian sausage plate was my favorite - the sausages were thinner than the typical standard bratwurst, and came with potatoes and sauerkraut on the side. This food Could be so much Better and we really wanted to like it. The Bauernplatte for two had a great smoked pork chop. The sauerkraut was extremely sour and tasted straight from the can. The red cabbage was seasoned as expected, the schnitzel was dry and the sausage and brat were predictable. The Beef Roulade was extremely disappointing with only 1 on the plate. (I had ordered Roulade 10 days ago in of all places Hawaii. My plate had 3 THREE beef rolls and gravy) The Sauerbraten was only 1 of 3 servings the kitchen could offer that night and we arrived 4 minutes after they opened!! It may have been that the 3 servings were left from the previous day because that was what it tasted like. The German potato salad was cooked potatoes with sauerkraut juice dumped into mashed potatoes to sort of hold together the cooked potatoes, bacon, caraway seeds and onions. There was no flavor of sugar/vinegar in this German potato salad. Save the caraway seeds for the kraut, don't put them in the
