When we make a trip down to San Antonio from Austin, our go to place is usually Shisha Cafe. Today we decided that we should try something different, so we went to Habibi Cafe. I wish we had gone to Shisha. The food was okay but salads are the worst I've ever had. They literally have no spices on them, no salt, no pepper, no nothing. The salads are literally some chopped vegetables in a plate. I've never ever had a Mediterranean salad without any spices before. When I asked about the spices I was told that's how the salads are. The hookah was okay at best. We sat on the patio and we were almost eaten alive by mosquitoes. Flies and mosquitoes everywhere. I couldn't wait to get out of there. That's it for me. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. They don't even have high chairs Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly. We had a stroller and had to carry up the stairs

Well, there aren’t many Mediterranean/Middle Eastern places in this part of town, so I was hopeful that the full parking lot was a good sign. Unfortunately, the meal was overpriced and underwhelming. Gyro wrap was $10.99 ($3 more than listed on the menu) and the meat was too salty, wrap bread was barely toasted. The fries were limp, soggy and salty. The baba ghanoush was ok, but the accompanying pita was dry and tasteless. The best thing about the meal was the dessert, kunafe. $30 for that just was too much for too little value.

I had this spot on my "places to go" list for a while and I enjoyed it here. The food was really good, Chloe was awesome and the atmosphere was nice. I'll most definitely be back!
