Great menu, the food was excellent. We had the Yakiniku dinner for four. Great selection of meats that you grill right at the table. We did wish the plates were labeled because it was impossible to remember the names of all the different cuts and dishes. The service was excellent too.
I'm so happy that we have a Gyu-Kaku here in town. The first time I had it was in Hawaii back in 2005 and I never forgot about it. It's all about the experience, although they were so slammed and busy that things did go wrong, but I'm a patient guest, so we understood. I love how they have various items to eat aside from the barbecue meats. The other half of my party could only have seafood because of religious reasons, & they had many options. I had two types of steak and they were both incredibly fresh and tender. The butter trios were great but the Scallion butter was the best. Their spicy cabbage and garlic rice or must-haves. Also go for the Frozen mango cocktail. Be prepared to wait and be patient but it's well worth it!
I’m skeptical of chain restaurants, but wow, what a nice surprise! Our server was great, the food was great, and the grilling was fun! We stayed for a good 2 hours, never felt rushed, and took our time to enjoy our food. Their happy hour is also great for drinks (we did not get happy hour items from the food menu). Looking forward to taking my mom here when she visits from Europe!
