Visited some time ago and forgot to post my review. Much deserved 5 stars. I had one of the best mahi mahi dishes with a crawfish tarragon cream sauce. A must visit for true authentic Cajun cuisine.
Wow!! We can’t believe we’ve never left a review here before! This is our go-to for special evenings. The staff is amazing & the food is the best Cajun in town. We love the Shrimp Yoli appetizer. I almost always get the Catfish Yoli or the Redfish Ponchetrain. Hubby just discovered the chicken & pesto tortellini and it’s his new favorite.
Firstly the wait list is a joke. Why call ahead of time just to still wait an additional 30 minutes, we called ahead purposely asking for the wait time and to be put on the list. While seated there, the dingy atmosphere lighting covered up the poorly renovated interior. Once seated it took 30 minutes to receive a diet coke and a hurricane from an empty bar with staff seemingly doing nothing. The cliental was aged, which explains why each plate was bland. The waitress was rude and gave me a "seriously" as an answer when she brought the check before asking if we wanted desert. I only order the desert because it was "award-winning". I do not recommend anyone to come to this place and will not be returning to allow any form of redemption. We entered at 7:30pm and left at 9:00pm. I imagine they bring the greatest shame to actual French Quarter District.
