Fred's Bar-B-Q House

Fred's is currently short on staff, which has lead to limited eating and no public restrooms. However, the staff on hand are super nice and the food is great! They do have limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Would go back. ❤️ Hope they get help soon.

Five stars but with criticism. I happened to catch them 5 minutes before they closed. They did not look or sound happy to see me. The guy that checked me out did relax a little bit after I started talking to him and got a little bit more friendly. He gave me some advice on what to order. He is the first person I've asked if they had beer battered onion rings and knew what they were. He did mention that this restaurant has been here for 40 years. These type of restaurants are right up my alley. I love non-chain non commercialized restaurants! I ordered the burger with cheese and bacon. It also came with chili, onions and mustard. The flavor is slightly better than average compared to other restaurants of this caliber and price range. The onion rings tasted good aside from a slight bitter taste from old oil. I forgive all of this because I did get in there at the end of the day and will definitely be back to try them again.

Worst bbq meal I ever had. I didnt even finish eating my lunch. I ordered the bbq pork sandwich basket with fries and baked beans Even though its all about the meat which did not taste good at all, the bbq pork was place between to paper thin buns. They would be better of just saying toasted white bread. The fries were barely warm and very floppy. The so called baked bean (warmed up a can of pork n bean) was placed in very small container just slightly bigger than a carry-out soy sauce cup from a Chinese restaurant. Very disappointed...Never coming back here. Yes, I said coming back, because I am still inside the restaurant typing this review. Couldn't wait.
