Frederick's Wine and Dine

Been patronizing this place since it first opened and always enjoyed the atmosphere. The service has declined in the last 6-9 months, however I decided to dine in a few times hoping things improved. As of my last time ordering food, I will never patronize again. After picking up my order, I got home which is 20 mins away to discover macaroni full of raw snd broken egg shells throughout it. Mistakes happen, so I call to look for them to resolve and provide a refund. I took pictures and over the phone they tell me to drive back to remake the food.. which is unacceptable. I was told the manager would call back but she never did. The next day I happen to be in the area but I called again hoping someone would assist.. I call and got the voicemail so I decided to stop by. The manager comes out and says “oh I heard what happened but I can remake but no refund. Came here as a recommended spot to eat since I'm from out of town. I was in the mood for some fried fish and they did not disappoint. The perch was fresh and seasoned nicely, I had to get the mixed vegetables since their greens were cooked in pork. While I was disappointed about the greens, the veggies were surprisingly good. The highlight was the pecan sweet potato pie!!! I had to close my eyes with every single bite, yes it was that good!! Not too sweet and it was served warm. Our waitress Michelle was the best and the live band was the icing on the cake. I would definitely come here again if ever in Cleveland!!

The food was really good, probably the best soul food I've had since moving to Cleveland. I'm North Carolina born and raised so I know good soul food. Be prepared for a possible wait. We went on a Sunday, a very busy day, and there was only 1 server working. Not sure if this was due to call outs or poor planning. We were seated in about 5 minutes but it was about an hour before we received our food. The 1 server did an amazing job of keeping everyone serviced, she made it pleasant despite the wait. Overall, it was a good experience and we will likely visit again.
