El Pescador West Covina

This was my first visit to El Pescador. It was clean outside with nice landscaping. The inside atmosphere was lively and busy. Seating available was booths and tables. Outdoor dining might be an option. There's a full bar section. I dined on the weekend during lunch. The pros: The food was great with nice portions at a good price. The cons: The service was lacking. Took awhile to take our drink order, longer to get the food order, and still had to wait after he food arrived to get the silverware. When it was time to pay the check, again, she was nowhere to be found. We took it to the front desk to pay, and they have a policy that you have to pay your server. All that said, they were still busy. Parking: Parking is free and close-by at the West Covina Plaza covered lot.

Excellent place to celebrate a birthday or to bring a date. The ambiance is great! Drinks are great! Food is great! Service is great (when it’s not too packed). I’m giving four star because this time the service was not on point. Things were missing or ordered wrong and had to get redone, food and drinks were brought randomly and not all at once. So some people got a head start by 15 mins while other people were still waiting for food. I understand it’s busy in the kitchen but the servers need to keep a momentum going and try to stay on there toes to work at their pace too. It seemed like the second server was not as sharp and kept forgetting about our table. The first server was quick even though they were super packed. Overall this place is always a great time.

We were seated right away. Our server was attentive and made sure we were good. The Michelada Flight was refreshing and the food was decent. We enjoyed the atmosphere.
