El Paso Mexican Grill On Magazine Street

First, they brought the chips/ salsa and black bean to the table. The black beans were a little skimpy, but the amount of salsa made up for it. Great taste, we cleaned out the bowl of chips and still had enough to spoon over our meals. The margaritas were nice, but on the pricy side since we were out of happy hour. I got the EL Paso special (I lived in El Paso, Texas for several years and I miss good Mexican food). The food was good, but just a touch bland due to lack of salt. I would have loved a saltshaker on the table. I know some people like to reduce their sodium intake, but salt brightens up the taste of food.

my coworkers and i eat at el paso a couple times a week since it is doors down from our work. service is great and food is usually okay, but things have become inconsistent lately. tonight, two coworkers and i ordered cheese enchiladas with red sauce. when we opened our orders, all three orders contained three tortillas wrapped around cheese with NOTHING on top. and this item cost $15. with the inconsistencies in food quality lately, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. a sad breakup.

Honesty, this place is very solid! Chips & salsa were legit...you even get black bean dip. Tuesday is bogo margaritas which was a surprise & AWESOME. they had live music & were very attentive...this definitely has the potential to be our go-to simple & good Mexican food restaurant
