El Bohio Cuban Cuisine

Authentic Cuban food in a very modest family owned cafe. Friendly staff, quick service and a welcome treat. Sandwiches or plates offerings as well as vegetarian selections. Great for a quick bite inside or takeout for later.

Sat 3/26/22: Pork sandwich and flan. Excellent. (See below) Tues 2/12/22: Great pork sandwich and a pastry (see picture; had guava inside). Wed 1/12/22: Great pork empanadas and pork sandwiches. I ordered online about 4:15 today and went and picked the food up. It was ready when I got there and tasted fabulous. It appeared that there were more tables than the last time I was there. Sat 9/25/21: Great food but today I stood in line 20 minutes and line did not move at all. I'll go back on a weekday. Also, there was no air conditioning. 7/26/21: Excellent pork sandwich. Lots of soft, juicy pork. Also full of the onions and juices it was cooked in. Amazing. The black beans were cooked in a similar broth. I must go back and try more.

Wonderful spot! Service by the family that owns it is super friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich in the state. We were lucky enough to get the last serving of oxtails that were amazingly flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender. (Daily specials will sell out.) Also tried the pork chunks that were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender in the middle. The sides are good enough to stand on their own. Gotta get the sweet plantains (caramelized on the outside), mixed black beans & rice and the yucca with mojo. All this left us wondering, why aren't they more Cuban restaurants in Colorado?
