An Atlanta establishment - if you know the city then you know Eats. Unpretentious and simple, this hole in the wall serves some of the most delicious food. The menu is simple (get your meat and pick your veggies) the self-service is friendly and quick without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The jerk chicken is to die for. Add cornbread, collards, mac & cheese, and you’ve got yourself a perfect meal.
I wasn’t expecting much from Eats. I’ve always driven by it and have never given it a thought. But because it’s in the passbook, we decided to try it. It’s a small restaurant that’s cafeteria style. It’s very old school with great comfort food. The meats are $6. I got the Sunday special, BBQ Chicken with Mac and cheese and it was delicious. Sides are $2.80 so your whole meal is less than $9. That’s not a bad deal. I would definitely come back.
Came here because I pass by all the time & wanted to try their soul food. Got an order to go: the lemon pepper chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the chicken chili. The chicken chili wasn't spicy but had decent flavor. Also it was a huge portion. The lemon pepper chicken really had no lemon pepper flavor, but it was a 1/2 bird. Mashed potatoes were great. Collards were average. My to-go order was ready in two minutes, so that was a plus. What I will say is that the portion sizes are very good for the price. Not expensive at all, but I don't know if I'll be back soon because the food was just average to me. Hence the 3 stars. Parking: Free parking is on the side of the building.
