So good I am back for my second day in a row! Yesterday I got the steak skillet (no oic) and it was phenomenal. The potatoes are so well seasoned I didn’t need any salt and the steak with chimichurri so yum. Today I got the chicken fried steak which comes with jalapeño cheddar grits, Sausage gravy, and eggs. The grits were sooooo good and flavorful and creamy. The rest of the dish, honestly, just ok. The sausage gravy had a sweet-ish flavor I’m not a fan of sweet meat so that threw me off. I likely won’t get this dish again for $17. My husband had the corned beef skillet and it was pretty tasty. Awesome flavor to the potatoes and it is real corned beef not the canned mush stuff. Mimosas $18 for carafe is a little steep but good.
The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I had come and sat on the patio and had initially thought it was very nice and pretty. At this restaurant you need to order at the bar, so we had ordered drinks and food and payed and tipped right away. As soon as we got our drinks a mouse came within a foot of our table. I had tried to ignore this encounter and continue on with dinner, and we had decided to move tables. Once we moved more and more mice came on the patio, they came from every direction and would get very close to where we were sitting. I was very visibly uncomfortable about this and the employees at the restaurants made me feel like I was being irrational. The employees laughed at us and told us “they are just mice and that they like to live under the deck with the rabbits”. I think that this is extremely unprofessional and disgusting for a restaurant. I am confused on why they are not trying to deal with the mice issue they have. After more and more mice came up
Their breakfast potatoes are INCREDIBLE!! Highly recommend this place for brunch. Our first time there was great and we will definitely be back!
