I dined at DJ last Friday night. Its a restaurant that I've been wanting to try for a very long time. I'm rating it 3 starts because of the cocktail served to us - Ordered an old fashioned and I'm pretty disappointed to say it unfortunately was probably the worst old-fashioned thats ever been served to me- the drink was bitter and not balanced and since we ordered two and both tasted like that it was def not a one off incident. I didn't order another drink after. Unfortunately, that did kick us off on the wrong foot; but the food was good; pics of my order attached. Providing this feedback less as a complaint but more as a MUST have area of improvement for a restaurant like this - its def a deterrent for me to come back and due to this experience I've moved a reservation for 4 that I had here to a different restaurant.
The food is phenomenal. Best center-cut grilled pork chop I have ever had. Service is amazing, too. And you can’t beat the 1962 Dear John’s vibe and history. So glad this classic place was saved from Covid shutdown fate. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes … More
