Great service, went to try the piggy egg custard buns but loved everything we ordered. We tried the: * Steamed shrimp & chive dumplings * Sauteed green beans * Pan fried Daikon cakes * Truffle siu mai and the * Piggy egg custard buns all were very good.
We were quickly seated and attended to. Dim Sim offered at night is a rarity so I was okay with the wait for our order. Food was well cooked and flavorful. I was disappointed that the egg tart and taro was sold out. This was my 2nd time here and I will definitely return when I get my next craving.
I've known the owner since their first restaurant in Concord, and posted a 5-star review since he made the best Cantonese cuisine I've tasted in the East Bay but not sure what happened recently to this branch, change of cook/manager, maybe? Dim sum is available all day long now, although mediocre. We were there for dinner and ordered fresh peashoots with garlic, fried whole sole with dipoing sauce and braised pork belly with pickled greens梅菜扣肉. Everything was delicious but the pork belly would've been better with less lean meat, which caused the pork to be a bit dry. Still enjoyed the dinner and will be back.
