County Road Ice House

Seated quickly at the outdoor patio which was nice and cool right in downtown and not too loud to talk. Ordered a jalapeño peach tea which was like spicy mop water. I've never sent a drink back but I did today. Server was OK about it. Ordered 2 meat plate of pulled pork, brisket and loaded potato salad with 2 half slices of buttery toast, yum! Mild and spicy BBQ sauce at the table also good, not too sweet. BBQ was tender, lean, and just smoky enough. I did have to ask for a knife and felt a bit hurried to finish. But overall very good food and would go back.

The bbq brisket burnt ends and ribs was delicious especially with that sauce, get extra sauce! Even the croutons on the Caesar salad was freaking amazing, that's how good it was! And the fries, the seasoning on the crispy skinny fries is what makes it great When a bunch of cops stop by for food near the end of the night... Yeah that's a hint too.... It's crazy good. And the nicest bartenders (I ate at the bar) were so nice and checked on me constantly.

We only had a day in KC and wanted some delicious BBQ…and this place delivered! Loved the onion rings and potato salad. Great ambiance with plenty of TVs to watch the games too. Vegetarian options: Homemade Side dishes are delicious
