You DO Want This Smoke I’m biased as a Memphis native, but this remains my favorite spot for dry-rub ribs, or pulled pork with a thing of soppin’ bread, in town. Consistently high quality, fast and easy service, and carries the reputation of the original spot seamlessly into Tennessee’s second city (heh). Pro tip: don’t sleep on their fried bologna. And go for the hot bbq sauce.

Amazing food served fast and hot by an amazing staff. I saw this place while driving around and decided to try some Memphis style bbq. The food was reasonably priced per pulled bbq plate ($12-$14) and ribs ($14 for half rack to $25 for full rack). The staff was kind and helpful asking if I was good throughout my meal. The pulled chicken and pork plate was amazing with the hot bbq sauce and vinegar sauce at the self serving bar. It had a great location and provided a great experience. Features: Outdoor seating is provided & staff is wearing masks.

I love Central bbq. They have the best pulled pork in Nashville in my opinion. Their mac and cheese, potato salad, and onion rings are the best sides!!! Also their pork nachos are a staple. However I also like to get the portabella salad which is delicious but lately I’ve been disappointed that it has not come in the taco shell bowl that it usually comes in. I’ve ordered this salad countless times and the last 3, I’ve been sad to open up the to-go container to find just a regular salad. The portabellas are great but the rest of the salad is pretty mundane without the taco shell for $10. Not sure if I will continue ordering the salad. Other than that change to their menu, I highly recommend central bbq! Overall a very consistent and delicious restaurant.
