Extremely disappointing. I was looking forward to trying this place as I am a big fan of chef Chauhan. We ordered a number of different dishes. The chicken tills masala lacked flavour. I mean I did not expect it to spicy but have you heard of salt? The so called naan was very dry and tasted like stale bread. And the cherry on top was that all the dishes were actually cold and we had to ask them to heat them up.
Awesome!! 137% worth the wait, and I'll make a point to go back and try more of the menu every time I'm in Nashville in the future ???? I had made a reservation for 2, but the Dude had to bow out at the last minute so I ended up eating at the bar solo. Great, superfriendly service! Beautiful, festive space! The tandoori chicken poutine and saag mac n cheese were absolutely phenomenal. But approachable too - I think even folx who don't necessarily favor Indian spices & flavours would enjoy them. I'd probably skip dessert next time tho and order an additional savory component - the chocolate cake was a delicious representation a regular chocolate cake - moist & rich - but I didn't get any garam masala taste out of it at all (the whole unique reason I ordered it) Reservations recommended. I'm so glad I took an $8 Lyft and avoided Gulch parking hassles and costs!
Food was amazing. I was so difficult to pick which curry I wanted. Everyone we tried was deliciously complex. The drinks were good, but they were very different because of the Indian spices used in them. The service was good, but they were obviously understaffed. I don't hold that against restaurants anymore as it is so difficult to get and retain staff. Go in relax and enjoy the food. You will not be disappointed.
