Catfish Cove

The food is over priced and it is not that good. The only reason I give it one star is because I cannot rate any lower. I will say that the host was very rude as well. We were waiting for a while and she finally asked if table is fine? I said a booth please (I have back issues) she said with an attitude there is none right now those people got the last one. I clearly saw many booths there but just needed to be clean. I said okay. Wondering why she asked in the first place. As I was waiting a while for the waitress I noticed the host quickly run to a booth and clean it for a couple. She then sat them there. I wonder if she was being racist since her and I were not the same race and those people were her race. I was confused why she didn’t do that for me. Or I could have cleaned it if it was an issue. After I paid my sister asked for a to go tea since the waitress forgot to bring it. The host rolled her eyes and sighed and went to get it. Never going here again. The host being sour was

This was my first time to visit; I was not impressed. It took a solid 7 minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there. We were seated and then waited another several minutes to get a drink order. The server came back with hush puppies but told us they ran out of butter. We decided to order catfish since that's why we came; the sign out front showed 3 big catfish pieces and fries and hush puppies for $6. Well, not true. It's a box deal and only available for takeout. So for 10 bucks I could get one piece of catfish and fries. They were out of beans and rice, green beans, and salad, and a few other items so we had no other choices. The " salad bar" was awful. No salad, the options were pickles, peaches, potato salad and coleslaw ( both of which tasted badly). The meal came, it was definitely not worth the money and the experience was disappointing to say the least.

Considering how few customers we're there on a Friday at lunch time, the service was not quick at all. One piece of catfish along with fries and access to a salad bar cost $7.99, which I guess is the going rate, but frankly I would have had a better meal if I just stayed and eaten at the Waterford at Mesquite. They have really good catfish on Fridays! All in all this was not a bad experience, it just wasn't necessarily a good experience. Parking: We were able to Park directly in front of the entrance, which is good since I must use a walker to get around. All in all it seem like they were definitely adequate parking spaces there even if they had a big dinner crowd.
