Captain D's

When my late husband and I lived in Irving we'd make a special trip just to get Captain D's and take it back to Irving. My car always smelled of Captain D's and I always laughed because my husband couldn't stay out of the food and was always handing me something out of the box so it was always a surprise as to what he'd hand me. But now that I live here in Mesquite I visit here every chance I can. The food is always fresh and hot. I always get the seafood feast and share with my family (except for the stuffed crabs those are mine). I love the choice of sides you can get and my only thing I don't get is the fries because they were always cold by the time everyone got to the table. I'm in love with their sweet tea which is right up there with my husband's sweet tea. Right now times are tight for me living on Widows Benefits but I plan to be back soon. Please don't ever close. Thanks for so many great memories for me and to remember the road trips with the hubby.

This Store is the best we ever ate at. We live over 39 miles from it. Anytime we in area we go there. We been coming to yours store for years. All the staff just did a really terrible job of making me feel like a welcome customer, and they really seemed like they were not genuinely happy to have my business. Angela wouldn't even answer my question about the menu until I told her if it was 'for here or to go' first, and then she gave me an attitude about giving me the sauce that I wanted to go with my order. Angela was unwilling, or unable to answer my questions about the menu other than just pointing at it on the wall, which I didn't consider to be very knowledgeable or very helpful at all. She yelled to the back to change my order for "to go", as if it were some inconvenience, but I don't see what difference it makes, since all the orders are served in the same styrofoam and cardboard containers, which you could see at the tables where other customers were seated.
