Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

Stopped here with family hoping for some good tacos. I ordered the steak tacos for 11 bucks. They were okay. This place has Chipotle vibes but the counter operators all seemed to act like they either haven't been here long or just don't care about the customer. Food was pretty average. I probably won't come back here in the future unfortunately.

Can't believe there are so many negative reviews but maybe they are for different locations. The new Cafe Rio at Johnson Ranch is fabulous! We eat there every week. The food is delicious, the options are incredible and the service is great. Whitney who normally works the cash register is so nice and efficient. I highly recommend Cafe Rio at Johnson Ranch!

I'm pretty bummed... Cafe Rio has always been really good at the Gilbert/Northeast Mesa locations so I was excited for this one to open about 3 miles from my home. But for some reason, my wife and I can't catch a break. We've eaten here 3 or 4 times since this location opened and it has been on a rapid downward spiral as time goes on. The rice is ALWAYS under cooked/overheated and it ruins the entire meal. No one wants crunchy rice wrecking the roof of their mouth... The staff have forgotten sides, and overall the service is relatively mediocre. I'm disappointed.
