Broth & Basil

This is a great place for Vietnamese food, it was already good prior to covid and it seems to have gotten better with a slimmed down menu and some beefed menu options. The Pho is great, and you can add a giant grilled beef rib to it, so good. Got the Hu Tieu Mi this time, pork broth soup, wasn't great today a bit on the salty and sweet side but the melt in your mouth pork slices and crispy pork bits made up for it to me, and a little Saracha. The star tonight was the Wagyu Bo (Beef) Luc Lac, it's wagu beef on a sizzling platter, side of citrus salad, some rice with an egg on top, and a side of pork broth, it was pricy but bro, it was soooo goodness ???? You gotta try this dish out, everything meshed well together and IMO it beats most Texas BBQ I've had. Come try this place out, it's busy for a reason.

We were headed next door for food, but changed once we read the door for here and Pho sounded good. We were pleasantly surprised and this is now our favorite place in the area. The short rib vermicelli dish was absolutely amazing. For the Steak and Brisket Pho the poured it at the table and the meat cooks in the bowl in the broth. If you love pho and you love beef ribs, drop whatever you are doing right now and go try their Pho Beef Rib - it is an absolute must try! The ribs and the pho was such a delightful pairing I never thought I’ll ever try. The service was great and the broth was flavorful. They didn’t overdo the spices or the broth so you can taste the meat and enjoy the dish. I’ll highly recommend the beignet fries as a dessert, who knew beignets can be eaten this way. All of this to say, I’m happy to have discovered this place and it might be one of the top must try phos in North Austin. I’ll recommend
