Black Bear Diner Milpitas

Awesome woodsy cabin diner vibes. Great prices for all types of different comfort food. Also the staff is always friendly.

10/30/2022 very busy location. Coffee kept full. Food arrived without table settings. Was given one napkin for three people. Had to ask for extra napkins. Looks like waiter is new. Confirmed with waiter use of birthday coupon but it turns out the order was not the birthday coupon I had to pay full price for an extra meal. Manager not willing to discount for the coupon. Manager led me to have to raise my voice at him as I paid. After I paid, he walked away muttering that it was my fault. I paid full price and he did not care if I came back. All in all not a good experience. So should I come back to this Black Bear Diner? At this point it is NO!

We went there after a hike at mission peak. We were very hungry. We ordered a vegetarian omelet and a Shasta vegetarian scramble. Portions are very good. They come with sides and choice of toast. The server said we could replace the toast with one pancake. I felt the replacement of toast with pancakes was an awesome deal. The country red potatoes on the side weren't that good. We were so hungry after a four hour hike we just gobbled everything. Features: Servers were wearing masks.
