Black Bear Diner Gilbert

First of all the staff is great, bubbly friendly and super nice, the place is very diner looking and being from NJ I love that, it had that old school Diner feel. But, what it makes up for in service it lacks in flavor and taste. I honestly didnt eat anything I thought was all that good. I guess I was just expecting a lot more, the menu is massive so maybe I just didnt have the right thing, but they forgot some of my food, the got some of the order wrong, and I think the kitchen was just overwhelmed on a busy Saturday. I want to give it another chance though, but if you can’t season the Eggs, what options do you have. The best thing was sadly just the Bacon and Biscuit… but I may try again.

A group of approximately 20 women gathered on Thursday afternoon to celebrate one of their birthdays. Our waitress was the absolute BEST! Very attentive without being hovering brought absolutely everything we asked for, and was extremely pleasant and friendly. The food was more than plentiful most of it was taken home. She was happy to keep our cake in the back refrigerated until we were ready to serve. She supplied extra plates and forks for the cake and we supplied her with a piece of cake. I honestly can't say enough good things about our waitress, and about the delicious food. This is a must try place!

The chicken fried steak is my go-to meal here. The biscuits are huge, fluffy, and filling. All 3 hot sauces have a good flavor. and the country cabin decor is cozy and welcoming.
