This place came highly recommended and it was ok at best. First the staff was not that engaged to help first time customers with the ordering process then took 20 minutes to make 3 milkshakes. Don't offer milkshakes if you can't make milkshakes due too lack of staffing. We got our hot food but still waited 8 minutes for milkshakes!!! Now to the food: catfish was good but chicken wing was not good. The seasoning on the meat was tasty. Worst collard greens ever!! It was a congealed mess in a cup but Mac and cheese was good. This unassuming joint has some seriously good chicken. Big fan of their sandwich that complements their great chicken with nice coleslaw, pickles, and a bun that can stand up to the greatness between it. As someone accused of having a "hot sauce problem", the executioner sauce had heat that could be felt but was nowhere near uncomfortable. Good stuff.
Nailed it! Chicken and waffles was exactly the thing I didn’t know I needed. Home run! Live music was also a nice addition. I didn’t think I was going to like the tunes, but it wasn’t too loud and added something to the experience. We finished the meal with the fried Oreos. Might have over did it, but what ever it was awesome.
