Decided to give this local spot a try for a date. Walking in, the atmosphere is very aesthetic. The dark yet warm glow of that 1950s-esque Godfather feel. The restaurant itself is very intimate, the cooking line sits behind a low wall right in the corner, but the restaurant itself is surprisingly quiet. We happened to go on $5 martini night and enjoyed some very well prepared vodka martinis. Started with some bruschetta and bisque (which both were phenomenal) and seafood risotto for the main course. Probably the first time I've had properly cooked scallops! Amazing! Our server suggested the blueberry mascarpone which was an incredible finish to the meal. Overall this is one of the best Italian spots in the area.. I am looking forward to making this a regular place to visit. Forget Carrabba's, we'll go back to Alodia's!!!
I want to start by saying I’m from nyc and know good food when I see it. The wife and I went last night for dinner. Let me tell you Chef Jon out did himself with the special menu he created. The flavors all came together. We tried the Duck bolognese , Tuna carpaccio, Cab steak, and the shrimp and Mahi nduja. Let me tell you I can’t even pick a favorite. We were loving them all. I’ve been there a few times and always had a good experience with there regular menu. If it’s your first time or if your a regular, go check out there special menu, you will not be disappointed. Oh and Ps , if you love Cheesecake you have to try there many assorted flavors they have weekly .
My sister and I ordered the mahi-shrimp special while her boyfriend had lasagna. The mahi and shrimp were supposed to be blackened but none of it was. The taste of everything was bland not only to me. My sister and her boyfriend mentioned the same thing. This was my first and last trip there. There are a few other Italian restaurants in the area that have better food and are more affordable. The prices here are ridiculous.
