This was a great place to eat. Their home cooked food was delicious. I had the fried chicken with cabbage, fried okra, mac-n-cheese, and cornbread. Our waitress was really nice. She took our order without writing anything down and didn't get anything wrong. She was an excellent waitress. It turns out that she used to live quite close to my home town. She gave us excellent service and I felt like she deserved a good tip. I wish I could have given her more but was limited on funds considering this was a last minute trip. If I'm ever in this part of the state again I will definitely be going back. I wish I would have gotten her name but I'm pretty sure if she sees this she will know exactly who this is.
That has got to be the best chicken fried steak I have ever had!!!! So good!! My daughter loved the ham, livers we're good. The cornbread stuffing is delicious. The food was great but service was lacking, we kept being forgotten. But all in all I am happy with the food and that's what we wanted.
From the minute I was seated, I wanted to try everything on the menu. The staff was very helpful in every way and with my questions. Then the food came. Plenty, well cooked and amazing flavors. Can't wait to get back to SC and try more.
