This place is such a local gem, my go-to for the best killer burritos in the Springs. I often split a bacon, egg, potato, & cheese burrito before hiking with the hubby (the size is generous!). Love their red & green salsas. And highly recommend their Monster Burrito (there's so much flavor packed in there)! The staff at Alfonso's is the best and will take good care of you. While we moved from the Westside and have tried other places in our new neighborhood, none compare so we happily make the drive to get our fix.
By far the best Mexican place in town. Don’t wanna go anywhere else! Also- portions are absolutely massive.
We ordered the enchilada combination plate and a carne asada taco combination plate. There was a lady outside the drive-thru to take our order which made me feel like I was at Chick-fil-A, and it was easier to have a conversation than over the intercom. The line moved quickly through the tiny parking lot, and a car trying to pass almost hit mine because the lot is so small. Our total price was just under $20 for takeout for two without drinks. My tacos were meaty and good with the red salsa, but the corn tortilla fell apart quickly. My beans were cold but otherwise good. My wife wouldn't touch her enchiladas because the cheese wasn't even melted, and she half joked about getting sick from the food that was apparently kept at an unsafe temperature. Still, we would give it another chance.
