The Fifty-Niner

Fantastic place to pull out a game and be served by wonderfully friendly people. I like the ambience vibe of a 'speakeasy', although it really is just a bar w/ food in the back of a game store. Which, actually, is the first of its kind in C/S that I know of. I have no complaints with the food or service. The only gripe I have is the lighting in some areas. It was very dark where we were playing our game (on the big round table). We were constantly pulling out our phone flashlights to read cards and play the game. Besides that, this is a great place, with a very extensive game library, to have a drink and play a game.

Wow this was such a great find! We were visiting from out of town and this was the perfect spot to spend a couple hours in the evening. We played board games and drank cocktails and spectacular coffee. Best of all there were vegan options. They made vegan margarita pizza and even something new they were trying out. Super impressed and will totally go back. Best food we've had in Colorado springs!

So when this place first opened, it was pretty okay drink wise. The food also was massively overpriced but I could overlook that. Last 2x we went, the drinks legitimately made me stop mid sip and wonder if something was sour about the liquor or something. I don’t know why but the drinks have gotten really really bad. It’s fun for the board games aspect but not the food or drink.
