Thunder and Buttons II

This restaurant is an undiscovered gem. We ordered the house special which was a 10 ounce New York strip with shrimp scampi. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and assorted veggies. Everything was delicious. The entree was $26. Amazing value and quality. The taste of the food was spectacular. I don't know who this chef is, but he/she definitely knows how to cook a steak. At the end my wife added a cup of the elk chili. Amazing. Mindblowingly spicy. But wonderful. My head is sweaty right now. We just got the bill. $58.68 plus tip. I tip off pretax, so I'll tip $10. That makes otd at $68.68. That includes 5 glasses of wine.

One of the best pubs in old Colorado. Great atmosphere, not too loud but very popular. Great service, they are nice, attentive to special requests and make solid recommendations. The value to the quality is excellent. The food is very good. I recommend the Nachos with elk chili and of all thing the fried pickles did not disappoint. The beer selection,though limited for on tap, is great. I'd drive accross town to come again.

We enjoyed our dinner here. Service was very attentive! The fries are the really good kind that have some crunch but are still soft on the inside! We loved both the fish and chips and the Mac and cheese. Seems to be a local favorite as well. The bison burger was also the other highly reccomened choice. When we are back in the area, we are stopping in again!
