I'm celiac and I appreciate that many items are gluten free or can be prepared gluten free and they will take precautions to avoid contamination when I inform them its an allergy. I had the grilled cheese and look forward to trying more meals here.

Cute Cafe with outdoor seating. Order inside before taking a seat. Ordered the chilaquiles bowl which sounded great, but the egg was not poached, not soft boiled but more like hard boiled. Look at the photo, a poached egg should be runny. Because you order at the counter and staff doesn't wait on you, nobody comes around to check to see how you're doing, if you like the food or if they can get you anything. Self serve water station.The atmosphere is nice, plenty of shade, nice background music but atmosphere can only carry you so far. Unfortunately, not sure I'll be back. So many other places to try in the area.

Zinc is located in a nice quiet street away from the busy areas of Laguna, which makes it very relaxing if you're trying to get away from the crowded streets around Forest Ave. At first I didnt think that the grain bowl looked that great but it tasted amazing! The moscow mule is solid. My boyfriend got a margherita pizza that was disappointing, it was delivered less than warm and the cheese was way too thick. However, the staff were absolutely excellent and allowed us to ask for something else for no additional cost. The soup of the day was a fennel and leak soup, didn't sound like it would be great at first, but it was suprisingly very good. We didn't order wine but it looks like there is a decent selection. Will be coming back to this restaurant!
