I had an incredible meal at the Woodlands restaurant. I cannot wait to return. The hakka noodles, gobi manchurian, masala dosa and sambar were all delicious. The coconut chutney, admittedly, was not very good. However, the sambar was the best I've had in a restaurant.
Food is definitely good. Pros: I ate idli sambar, vada and dosa. All were good quality and taste. Full marks there. My son also liked the paneer makhani with white rice. Our group also ordered thali which was reviewed as okay since the chapati was not fresh. It is probably made in advance, reheated and then served. Chole bhatura gets you huge bhatura but the chole is not the North Indian style. If you are used to North style chana bhatura, I would suggest to skip it here. Cons: The restaurant is popular and hence the attitude of the owner. They are arrogant and does not understand hospitality. I have visited here twice. The first experience was good. The second experience was sour due to the high attitude. They don't take reservations. They don't let you sit unless all people in the group are in front of their eyes. They won't take your order even if small group wants to start eating without waiting for the other people. I have never ever seen these kind of rules and behavior in any r
Being a south indian myself I am a little biased towards south indian food. If you need a pure south indian / authentic taste? Then you must visit this place. I have not seen this kind of authenticity in any other named south indian restaurant in this Orlando area. I RESPECT OTHER REVIEWS with pros and cons which I do not deny completely but when it comes to the south indian taste this is the place. Vegetarian options: This is full vegetarian restaurant authentic south Indian restaurant in Orlando area.
